Demi Lovato reveals why she unfollowed Selena Gomez on Twitter

Everyone, breathe a sigh of relief: Demi Lovato has revealed why she unfollowed former BFF Selena Gomez on Twitter. Twitter is gaining popularity day by day and the average number of twitter retweetsyou have, the more effective it becomes. The million-dollar tidbit came during an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" when Lovato played "Plead the Fifth" with host Andy Cohen on Thursday evening. "So much speculation about [the unfollowing]," Cohen began, posing the third of three questions after Lovato had answered one and "pled the fifth" on the second. "Can you tell us why?" "Um, I plead the sixth, if that's in the game," she replied, sitting alongside co-guest Jessica Alba. But Cohen didn't budge. Heck, maybe Alba didn't either. "Are people reading too much into it?" Cohen asked. "Are they reading into something that doesn't exist?" "I think it's just one of those things," the "Really Don’t Care" singer answered, "where people change and people grow apart." What do you know, a normal thing that happens to normal people. Who would have thunk it? The cutting of ties became clear in July when fans noticed that Lovato, 21, had unfollowed Gomez, 22, on Twitter. Being the close watchers they are, fans also pointed out how Lovato reportedly tweeted then deleted a message that she was "Swimming away from" the BS -- a message that was capped with some name-calling. The tweet marked the second time the former Disney stars had a public fallout. Their friendship hit a rough patch in 2010, but when the pair were photographed together in 2013 days after Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber got arrested on suspicion of DUI, all seemed well. At the time, Lovato told MTV News, "We've had periods of times when we grew apart, and we just didn't really talk. But now we're in a place where we realize that life is so short, and that when you have people in your life that love you so much, then you should just always be around them."

Selena Gomez Addresses Zayn Malik Twitter Rumors On BBC Radio 1

It was the follow heard ’round the world. Zayn Malik, former One Direction member and former fiance to Little Mix‘s Perrie Edwards, sent rumors flying into the stratosphere when he—during a recent Twitter spree of cryptic tweets and generous follows—followed American pop sweetheart Selena Gomez. The earth ceased turning. Fans around the world gasped. Hearts went a-flutter. To gain twitter retweets without following back through our service you just need to choose most ... To avoid that, your pictures have to have high ratings to attract more potential. There were passionate cries of, “What about Bieber!?” The social media gesture was, of course, interpreted as a flirtatious move on behalf of the British heartthrob, and there have been whisperings ever since that Zayn and Selena (Zaylena?) could eventually, you know, be a thing. Alas, in an interview with BBC Radio 1 on August 14, Selena shuts the rumors down—sweetly, of course. “The Heart Wants What It Wants” singer explained that while it wasn’t “weird” that Zayn followed her on Twitter, as the two know each other in real life, she really had no idea what people were gossiping about as she didn’t even realize Zayn had followed her account until it was pointed out to her. After all, the girl does have over 30 million followers, so it’s probably a bit difficult to keep track! “I had no idea what that was until somebody else asked me, and obviously I know Zayn, though, so it’s not like a weird thing,” she said during the radio interview, adding playfully, “I just didn’t know who followed me. Thanks for the follow, Zayn!” Even more entertaining (and maybe a little shady), when asked if Selena had followed him back yet, the pop artist admitted she hadn’t. “Did I [follow him back]? I don’t know, I don’t think I did but I will right now,” she promised. “I should do it.”

She later retracted her statement about former flame Joe, saying, “Joe and I are good friends, so I wouldn’t kill him. I’d keep him around.” In another segment, Demi reminisced about her The X Factor days and her favorite Britney Spears moments. “I just remember like her having all little these moments where someone would come out onstage and she just would say it like it was,” she said. “She didn’t care, and she would just say like, ‘I don’t get it.’ It was really funny and endearing the way that she would say it. I would just come off across like just a b**ch. It was cute when she did.” Andy then question the “Neon Lights” singer if she truly believes she projected a diva attitude as a judge on the singing competition. Getting buy twitter retweets without following is essential to increasing your Twitter presence, but knowing where to start can be difficult. “I’m a very honest person and I really just tell it like it is, and you see it on my face,” said Demi, who was reassured by Jessica that she doesn’t come off as catty. “So, clearly … I always just wanted to focus on being constructive. Sometimes it was really hard because there wasn’t anything constructive to say, like, ‘Honey, this isn’t going to happen.'”.
